Yummy Twice Baked Potatoes

Well I have been CRAVING these for sometime so I finally broke down today after I got home from my shopping trips. And since I got most of the items to mix in for FREE that was EVEN better!! I made 22 twiced baked potatoes and then put them in our new freezer (I sooo should have had one of these a LONG time ago!)

A few weeks back I also bought a Brother label maker for only $9.99 BRAND new on ebay, so I finally broke that bad boy out today and put it to good use!

I made 3 kinds:
Bacon/Cheddar
Ranch/Sour Cream/Bacon
Pizza (per Tristan's request, he LOVES pizza everything...lol)

Another stop I made today was to Pick n Save for the Double Coupon Day. Of course you want to maximize your coupons so I only shop there on Wednedsays. (I did actually have to make 2 trips there today since I forgot milk...)

So I had a GREAT shopping day today (minus the grumpy cashier at Walmart she changed her mind when I told her that I would just take my coupons and purchase the items elsewhere...) I forgot to take a picture before I put everything away, so I took several pictures after, as I was SUPER tired and didn't want to haul it all back out. My brand new freezer is half full!! Sure putting that baby to good use!! I did 2 transactions because I forgot to grab the FREE sour creams at first to go with my Hormel Bacon Bits coupon, thus the 2 receipts.

My total with tax BEFORE coupons was $218.76
After coupons with tax $75.86

SAVED $142.90!!!

I almost fell over myself!! That is sooo awesome! The 15th is my BIG once a month trip as hubby gets paid once a month. So I get the majority of our items then and only buy things here and there IF needed. We have PLENTY of snacks from all of the great Target deals so I stuck mainly to meat, products and the other things I had coupons for to get FREE items. I got 104 items!!

I was SUPER happy when I left Walmart. The manager did try to bully me a bit about the coupons, but I held firm since you are allowed 1 coupon/item. She called another manager and they confirmed it. I said that next time I would make sure to bring the corporate coupon policy as well. (I personally think that she was a bit perterbed that I had so many coupons and saved so much.) They are made for a reason :D

They are up to a $2 value doubling to $4 or the price of the item with no overage. They will NOT double kmart coupons, but you can use them (I would use them at the end of the transaction). You can use up to 25 coupons per person per day. Nice! I will be there all week...lol

Kmart DOUBLE coupons will be BACK!! 4/19-4/25

I don't know about you but I am SUPER excited as Kmarts Double Coupon promotion will be BACK! 4/19-4/25! (Hopefully a store a tad closer to me will be doing it...lol) Last time I managed to get some GREAT deals! Start getting your coupons together ladies and gents! Make sure that you check www.kmart.com and type in your zip to see if your store is participating. It will have a BIG area about it on the front page of the weekly flyer. You should be able to see the flyers starting mid to end of the week.

DON'T forget to STOCK up on papers this Sunday as there will be GREAT high value coupons to get FREE and cheap deals!!

Walgreen's Register Rewards Rolling Scenarios

I absolutely love Hip to Save! Here are some great scenarios that she came up with to get the MOST bang for your buck! She did add filler items (since you will need these to be able to use all of your coupons and keep the register from beeping). If you have more coupons than items the register will beep and not take your coupon. These are just some ideas, but you can also roll the register rewards back and forth as lonog as you are not using them to purchase the same item, because then you will not get another register rewards.


Scenario #1:
Purchase Colgate Max White or Max Fresh Toothbrush $3.49
Use $1 Coupon from here
Total $2.49 plus tax
Get $3.49 Register Rewards
(if you have any register rewards from last week you can use them on this to save more, but then you will need a filler item. You can use the $0.59 Aluminum Foil with in ad coupon for a cheap but useful filler)

Hope everyone had a GREAT Easter! The kids LOVED all of the great little goodies that I was able to get for them, their baskets were overflowing....lol. The past week was SUPER busy and therefor I wasn't able to do as many posts as usual. None the less I am back! I have a bunch of great deals that I plan on doing this week and I am SUPER excited. Hubby and I are finally breaking down and getting a chest freezer(as these new deals will require the extra freezer space!) It all started when I was checking ebay for some good soda coupons. Hubby loves his soda and I love a great deal~! I found the coupons for the Sara Lee bread(you get FREE 2 liters of soda when you buy this.) Soooo, I searched some more. I found coupons for $1 0ff ANY bread when you buy 2 bags of Lays chips...got those motors working and then I found coupons for FREE chips when you buy Sara Lee bread and lunch meat. Then I got the coupons for the meat. And also scored some great coupons for dips to go with the chips! So I will be getting:

10 Sara Lee Breads ($1 each)
12 2 liter Bottles of Diet soda (I also am using the B1G1 Coupons I printed) (FREE)
10 Hillshire Farms Lunch Meats ($1.45 each)
5 Frijto Lay's Dips (FREE)

Then I have ANOTHER great deal I will be picking up!!

10 Meat items (using $2 off meat when you buy 2 Kraft items)
10 Produce items (FREE when you buy 2 Kraft items)

I will choose the meats that are the closest to $2 or less to maximize savings. I LOVE ebay for when I need to find a specific coupon. I ALWAYS make sure that I get at least 20 coupons for $2.00 or less (which is what I pay for a paper on Sunday).

Nothing has REALLY jumped out at me this week at Walgreen's or Target at the moment. So I believe that I will be making the one trip to Wal-mart (at least for now :)

I will make sure to post up the pics as soon as I go out and get these items. This is going to last us QUITE awhile and put a very very little dent in our grocery budget which should allow us to put a little extra into our savings!! YIPPEE!!

Walgreen's!! CHEAP DRINKS!!

I didn't really care for many of the items that were on sale this week at Walgreen's but the beverage deals DID catch my eye. So I went to get some of those. I paid $24.70 for:

6 12 packs of Lipton Green Tea they are B2G1 (used $2/2 manuf cpn)

I was QUITE impressed as these items are usually VERY pricey! I did go back again today and get 6 more Lipton Green Teas, with the same coupons and then I got 6 more Starbucks coffees (this time I used the $1/4 easy saver AND $1/2 manuf cpn). 3 packs of coffees for ONLY $7.50!!! My hubby was excited! So was I to stock up on beverages for so cheap!

Old Navy Weekly Coupons

So....I got one of those $75/$100 coupons after MUCH repeated mouse clicking and burning eyeballs. My hubby and I plan on taking the kiddos to Old Navy this week to get them some clothes. Hopefully they have some great things on sale to pair up. I am telling you last night was MORE STRESS that one person should have to handle. WHEW! Some people could get in, some couldn't (I didn't refresh so that is how I managed to stay in the site.) I had the $50/$100 (that darn hummingbird was FAST and out of excitement I clicked twice Drat!) But alas I did score the BIG one! WOO HOO! Ahhhhhhhhh, until next week...

The picture is an update of what I got for the kiddos all for $27.64~ I was a tad upset when I did get a hard time for the coupon though. As some of the items apparently were on sale so I calculated a little wrong. So at first my total with tax was $101 something so the cashier scanned the coupon and it wouldn't work. Then the manager came over and drilled me about the coupon. I was like, uh yeah, can you see the red burning BLOOD shot eyes that I have from staying up ALL night to get this coupon?? So then I told her how and where I got it and she did take the amount off. The boys each got some cute new items and most all of it was on clearance!! So you CAN use these on clearance items!
